PADI Advanced Scuba Diver

The PADI Advanced Scuba Diver Program was designed to expose divers to different conditions by sampling some of the available specialty certifications. The program consists of 5 dives. Of which, the diver must complete a navigation and deep dive.

The three remaining dives will be tailored to the student’s interests and can be selected from the following list.

  • Night
  • Boat
  • Drift
  • Wreck
  • Dry suit
  • Underwater Photo
  • Peak Performance Buoyancy
  • And Many Others…

Price: $300 includes instruction materials + $20 certification card

You must provide your own dive equipment for the advanced course. If you do not wish to buy your own equipment you can rent from your local dive shop.

There may be additional charges depending on the specialty dives chosen. For instance, if the diver wishes to do a boat dive, there will be an additional charge for the spot on the charter boat.

While this class is called Advanced Diver, you could potentially complete Open Water and Advanced Diver back to back and only have 9 dives. For this reason I caution new divers when considering themselves truly advanced. This course provides more experience and exposes divers to different conditions. Divers should consider additional training through specialty courses or take the next class; Rescue Diver.
